The Mount The property is set in 1.5 acres of informal gardens, surrounded by woodlands and offers 7 individual, large bedrooms; all offering views of the surrounding countryside. Access to the local bus service is a short walk away and public footpaths are reached immediately outside of the property. The home is a spacious and warm, country home, with a large farm style kitchen and 3 separate sitting rooms. We currently meet the needs of a wide range of people and the staff team are trained to meet specific individual’s diagnosis. We provide care and support for both men and women with learning disabilities. The people we support, actively participate in activities both in the home and the local and wider community. These include activities such as; Horse riding, Drama groups, Singing groups, Swimming, Zumba, Disco events, Performing Arts and Music groups. Group activities within the home include; rambling in local woodlands which make part of The Cotswold Way, planting and growing vegetables in the large garden and enjoying time in the garden on the swings and trampoline. We have a stable and committed staff team, who have been supporting the people who live at the Mount, for many years. Their qualifications include nursing registrations, all hold the mandatory training certificates and the majority have level 2 and 3 diplomas in health and social care. Our Home Manager started working at the home nearly 5 years ago and has previously worked in many different settings, with varying service user groups and approaches. Our Senior Support Workers all hold a level 3 diploma in health and social care with leadership and are caring and conscientious. All staff are trained in the safe handling, storing and administration of medication, and training is reviewed and refreshed regularly.
