The Tynings This home, provides care and support for six people, and is set within a large garden and surrounded by farmland. It has been refurbished to a high standard and offers six individual and large bedrooms with views of the surrounding countryside and with en-suite facilities. The communal space includes 2 large sitting rooms, a conservatory and spacious dining area. This allows all the people we support, to have space to enjoy a quiet area for a chat, take part in activities, watch television or play a game. The Home Manager is Sarah Cowmeadow who has been working in care for over 10 years and at the Tynings since 2012. Sarah has a level 5 diploma, in care and is working towards her degree. Sarah is supported by a team of highly qualified and experienced staff, who have all been recruited for their positive attitudes and motivation. Staff are selected by interviews which involve the people who live at the Tynings. The team continuously strive to aim to provide a safe, positive, happy and relaxed environment, encouraging the growth and development of the service users The home is staffed 24 hours a day which includes a night time staff member. All the people we support, have a learning disability or other associated needs including mental health disorders. We ensure we follow a person-centered approach and the service is needs led. We as a home respect the services users Privacy, dignity, choice, independence and inclusion. We focus on developing the people we support, to achieve their full potential and as much independence as possible.
